Comprehsive List of #iOS5 features updated – Table View
Posted by on June 9, 2011
Have a look - http://ioswithnick.wordpress.com/comprehensive-list-of-all-ios-5-features-full-feature-list/
More to come as I find out and I have categorised many previous ones into the features they belong. It will be hard to name the exact 200 features as Apple have not released all features in Beta 1, Apple’s counting convention maybe different to mine and Apple might add more before the final release, unknown to everyone.
iPhone 3GS and iOS5
Posted by on June 7, 2011
Here’s my territory! – I own an iPhone 3GS and an iPad 2, the latter which of course will receive full support.
The big question… Will iOS5 be compatible with the iPhone 3GS ?
Initially many had thought Apple would drop support for the 3GS following the suit of how they dropped the iPhone 3G from iOS4 – well, they didn’t. It is supported… However not all of it is (or is it? )
It does run flawlessly – as people claim - i.e. no lag. -
Some say its running flawlessly, as far as the video below goes – its going smooth however some blogs are reporting sluggish performance.
nb: the sluggish behaviour could be a result of something going wrong while updating as well.

Wow music is loud, isn’t it?
Anyway key point to notice – the wireless syncing of all the user’s Apps from the cloud, i.e. the Apps he has purchased which aren’t present on his newly set-up iPhone.
With iOS 5, you no longer need a computer to own an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. Activate and set up your device wirelessly, right out of the box. Download free iOS software updates directly on your device. Do more with your apps like editing your photos or adding new email folders on your device, without the need for a Mac or PC. And back up and restore your device automatically using iCloud.
